In support of the Access Mission, Strategic Commitments, and Values we are looking to fill the following position: Nonprofit Alliance of Northeast Connecticut (NANC) Turn the Curve on Poverty Initiative Coordinator /Americorps VISTA. Responsibilities: Working with Access's VP -Community Engagement and other nonprofit and community leaders, the Coordinator will: a.) support NANC's Turn the Curve on Poverty Initiative, a results-based performancemeasurement program to assess collective impact focused on ensuring that all residents of Windham and Mansfield, CT are economically stable, b.) continue action-oriented community initiatives and a public awareness campaign on the TCP Initiative, c.)prepare NANC leadership to "take ownership" and to sustain itself in the coming years independent of the VISTA, including developing governance documents, development plans, CIS (databases, listservs, etc), collateral multi-media materials help develop strategies to ensure continued engagement of the low-income community, and e.) plan and facilitate regular meetings and events, maintain a member-to-member communications system, and collect and organize data related to nonprofit services and outcomes. Vision, creativity, enthusiasm, and strong communication skills are essential. Requirements: College graduate; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; public relations and marketing experience; strong written and verbal communication skills; public speaking experience; ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment. Preferred: Bi-lingual skills in English/Spanish. Benefits include: This is a service position available through the Corporation for National & Community Service (CNCS) Americorps VISTA program. Compensation and benefits available in accordance with CNCS policies and eligibility requirements include living allowance, relocation allowance, training, health coverage, childcare assistance and an end-of-service stipend or education award.
